Marvel at the magic of Christmas at Hoghton Tower in our magnificent Banqueting Hall where you will find Father Christmas next to the roaring log fire waiting to chat with you in small groups. He will make sure that he knows what every child would like to find on Christmas morning. Each child will receive a gift from underneath the beautifully decorated Christmas Tree and there will be time for you to take individual or family pictures in the festive surroundings.
This is a fundraising activity for the Hoghton Tower Preservation Trust and is volunteer run.
Advance online booking is strongly recommended as availability on the day cannot be guaranteed. Your ticket is valid at any time during the session. Father Christmas is a very popular man at this time of year and as such queues are expected so please remember to dress warmly. We regret we are unable to reserve time slots for visitors.
£7.50 per child, no charge for accompanying adults.
Father Christmas is available 10am - 2pm on Sunday December 2nd, Sunday December 9th and Sunday December 16th. He will be available 10am - 1pm on Saturday December 22nd and Sunday December 23rd.

Step back in time and get into the festive spirit as you take an atmospheric tour around the seasonally decorated house before sitting down in the warmth of our tearoom to enjoy your delicious afternoon tea.
As you are guided through the house, imagine the merriment of the festivities that have taken place over the centuries. Listen to tales from Christmas in different ages; you will hear the origins of many of our Christmas traditions and glimpse life at this festive time in years gone by. Your tour will end beside one of the great traditions of Christmas; a beautifully decorated tree in our magnificent Banqueting Hall.
Following your tour, you will be able to relax, chat with friends and enjoy a delicious afternoon tea including seasonal specialities.
The tour will last one hour and will include rooms decorated for Christmas. It will not include all the rooms on a standard house tour.
Please dress warmly and be aware that due to the age of the house, there are a number of different and sometimes uneven floor surfaces. The tour will include some rooms upstairs.Find out more Book now
