Guided House Tours

Join one of our terrific tours and travel through time Be entranced by the stories of a house and a family. The tours span over nearly 1000 years of history witnessed on this one, hill top site. From William the Conqueror through to modern times the Tower has witnessed the lives of the de Hoghton family and welcomed many famous visitors. It is said that some of these people still make their spectral presence felt on occasions around the house. Let our knowledgeable and friendly guides lead you through history at Hoghton Tower.

The tour lasts one hour and is guided. Tours start promptly at the time booked, please arrive a few minutes before your advertised start time to allow time to walk from the car park and to book in. 

This ticket allows you free parking in the Hoghton Tower car park for the time of your visit and access to the walled gardens and grounds.

Please note that on the 3rd Sunday of every month we hold our popular Farmers' Market. On these days a site admission fee of £2 per car / pedestrian bubble will be payable on entry for all visitors. On special event days other site admission fees may be payable. Please see www.hoghtontower.co.uk for dates and details any special events before booking your house tour.

Gift Aid Admission includes a 10 per cent or more voluntary donation. Gift Aid Admissions let us reclaim tax on the whole amount paid - an extra 25 per cent - potentially a very significant boost to our places' funds.
