Important Information

This tour is only available to Site Admission ticket holders at the Medieval Revival event. 

Age Restrictions

The tour is not suitable for anyone under 12. All participants under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. 

Comfort & Access

The underground passages can be cold and damp adding to the experience of the tour. Please ensure that you are wearing sufficiently warm, outdoor clothing and comfortable shoes, suitable for walking on uneven, historic surfaces. 

The starting point for the tour is accessed either via two flights of stone steps without a handrail or, alternatively, a single flight of narrower stones steps with a handrail. The tour itself involves a number of flights of stairs and different historic, sometimes, uneven and damp floor surfaces. The stairs include those into the underground passages and some are without handrails. Unfortunately, if you arrive late for your tour, we cannot guarantee entry and no refund will be due. 

If we have to cancel your booking for any reason, you will be offered a full refund or the opportunity to transfer your ticket to an alternative session (subject to availability).
