Picnic in the Wilderness
Enjoy a picnic in our beautiful Wilderness Garden.
Our friendly Tearoom team will fill a picnic basket with a selection of freshly made savoury and sweet foods, a hot or cold drink of your choice, along with cutlery, napkins, and a blanket for you to sit on in the Wilderness Garden to enjoy your picnic.
For an extra special treat, why not add a glass of prosecco or bottle of beer?
If you would like to book for a party of 7 or more, please email us at mail@hoghtontower.co.uk to check availability before booking.
We are happy to cater for dietary requirements proving that they are included at the time of booking. However, please be aware that, our kitchen does handle products containing allergens and that, although we take care during food preparation, we cannot guarantee that there will be no cross contamination.
To ensure that we can give you the best experience possible, any picnics with dietary requirements must be pre-booked.
Gardens
Of course, you are welcome to enjoy our beautiful gardens. The Wilderness Garden is where you can picnic, however, either before or after your picnic you're more than welcome to explore our Rose and Ramparts Gardens. Picnics must be kept in the Wilderness Garden.
Special Events
Please note that on the 3rd Sunday of every month we hold our popular Farmers' Market. On these days a site admission fee of £2 per car / pedestrian group (up to 6 people) will be payable on entry for all visitors (cash only). On special event days other site admission fees may be payable. Please see https://www.hoghtontower.co.uk/special-events/ for dates and details any special events before booking.
All visits help the Hoghton Tower Preservation Trust (Registered Charity: 508357) to maintain, preserve, restore and maintain this beautiful building and grounds in which it stands and to continue to share its fascinating history with generations to come. Thank you for your support.
Refunds
All bookings are non-refundable and non-transferrable, please check the details carefully and ensure that you can commit to the date and time before you complete your booking as regrettably, we are unable to accommodate any changes once your booking is finalised.
If we have to cancel your booking for any reason, you will be offered a full refund or the opportunity to transfer your ticket to an alternative session (subject to availability).
