AUGUST, 1617: Welcome to a night of festivity and feasting at Hoghton Tower.
Tonight, you are the royal guest of honour. Step back in time and be part of the moment when King James I made his legendary progress through Lancashire, and dined in splendour in our grand Banqueting Hall.
Combining historical re-enactment, Jacobean feasting and entertainment; enjoy a 3-course meal, learn about this astounding moment in Lancastrian history and witness the King knighting the Sir Loin of Beef!
Marking the 400-year anniversary of King James’s death this is an unforgettable, immersive dining experience.

Time: 6pm - 9pm
Included in the package is a three-course meal:
Starter: Soup & Bread Roll
Main: Chicken in a sauce with new potatoes & veg.
Dessert: Berry Crumble
Please enter any dietary requirements during the checkout process. Please be aware that although we do take precautions to minimise the risk of any cross contamination, due to the size of our facilities we are unable to guarantee that this will not occur.
Doors open from 6pm and the event begins at 6.30pm. We expect the event to be finished by 9pm, after which time the site will be closed.
This is a fundraising event in aid of Hoghton Tower Preservation Trust (Registered Charity No. 508357). Thank you for your support in preserving and restoring this beautiful building and the grounds in which it stands.
Refunds
All tickets are sold as non-refundable and non-transferrable, please check your tickets carefully and ensure that you can commit to the date and time before you complete your booking as regrettably, we are unable to accommodate any changes once your booking is finalised.
Please ensure that you arrive on time for your tour as you will be unable to join the tour once it has started and we will be unable to offer a refund.
If we have to cancel the event for any reason, you will be offered a full refund or the opportunity to transfer your ticket to an alternative session (subject to availability).
