Shakespeare's Starcrossed

What if your first true love was someone you had been told to hate?

William Shakespeare shall be your guide for this beautiful and interactive retelling of his famous eternal love story: Romeo & Juliet.

Travel back in time to Elizabethan England, and uncover the inspiration Shakespeare found within the walls of Hoghton Tower for his timeless tale of romance, hate and revenge which spiralled towards tragedy.

Learn about the heartbreaking Lancastrian story of two religiously opposed families, two houses both alike in dignity. Meet Lady Dorothea Southworth of Samlesbury Hall and Richard de Hoghton whose overwhelming love would not keep them apart and risked everything to be together. Understand how their tragic tale may have inspired the Bard to compose his classic play and left a paranormal footprint upon Hoghton Tower.

“These violent delights have violent ends.” – Romeo & Juliet.
