Dragon Egg Easter Quest
Spring into action with a fun-filled adventure at Hoghton Tower this Easter Bank Holiday Monday. The Dragon Riders have landed and are looking for new recruits to help them locate the missing dragon eggs which are scattered around Hoghton Tower. Take part in various quests and challenges and tick them off your checklist! Learn about these mystical creatures, meet our enthusiastic characters and become a legendary Dragon Rider!
A perfect event for any dragon enthusiast and, of course, kids who enjoy story-telling and love to be creative!
Suitable for children aged 5-12. The event will run 11am – 3pm each day. You can arrive any time from 11am, with the last entry being at 2pm. We recommend allowing at least 90 minutes to enjoy your adventure.
All children must be accompanied by an adult with a ticket at all times.
Fancy dress is strongly encouraged, however, please ensure everyone wears warm layers underneath their costume and comfortable, warm and flat footwear e.g. trainers or boots.
The tearoom will be open 10am - 3pm. If you would like to take advantage of the children's lunch package (£6.00), please pre-book to ensure availability. There will be sandwiches, cakes and drinks available for adults to purchase on the day. Please note that those attending a session beginning at 1pm will need to eat prior to their session as the tearoom will be closing at the end of the session.
Children's Lunch Package: Cheese or Ham Sandwich, carton of juice, a packet of crisps, a sweet treat and a piece of fruit.
Please include any dietary requirements at the time of booking. Although we take precautions, we are unable to guarantee that any item is free from cross-contamination from any allergen.
This is a fundraising event in aid of the Hoghton Tower Preservation Trust (Registered Charity Number: 508357). Thank you for helping us to preserve this beautiful historic building and the grounds in which it stands.

Enjoy an afternoon tea for a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children) at the majestic 16th century Hoghton Tower.
Our friendly team will serve a delicious selection of sweet and savoury delights for both adults and children to enjoy. All this is paired with a children's hot chocolate and a speciality coffee or tea for adults.
Extra adults and children can be booked. It's £15 per extra adult and £5 per extra child.
We are happy to cater for dietary requirements proving that they are included at the time of booking. However, please be aware that, our kitchen does handle products containing allergens and that, although we take care during food preparation, we cannot guarantee that there will be no cross contamination.
To ensure that we can give you the best experience possible, all afternoon teas must be pre-booked.
Gardens
You are welcome to enjoy the beautiful gardens either before or after your afternoon tea (subject to garden opening times).
