Adventures in Wonderland: Who Stole The Tarts?
Join us on Saturday the 8th and Sunday the 9th of August
Did you know Lewis Caroll was the Great-Great Grandson of Hoghton Tower’s very own Lucy Hoghton?! So where better to re-create wonderland this August?!
Join Alice as she wonders through Wonderland, chasing the White Rabbit to find her way home and find out who stole all the tarts! Travelling through the house and gardens this interactive family performance will introduce you to all your favourite characters also including the Mad Hatter, March Hare, Cheshire Cat, Caterpillar, Queen of Hearts, Tweedles Dum & Dee and many more!
You will encounter the mad world of wonderland with lots of pepper, tea parties and talking flowers to work out who stole all the tarts ending in a big trial! Can Alice solve the case? Will she find her way out and get everyone home? Join us and find out!
A family promenade performance suitable for all ages (over 5)!
Please note this performance will move around inside the Tower and in the gardens.
Tour length approx. 1hr 45.Please bear this in mind when booking.

Please arrive 10 minutes before your tour time and follow the signage for the car park before making your way up to the main gatehouse. Once you walk through the archway, please follow the signage for the Tearoom.
Important Information
Age Restrictions
The tour is not suitable for under 5s. All participants under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Not suitable for pushchairs and prams
Comfort & Access
The Tower can still be cold at this time if year. Please ensure that you are wearing sufficiently warm, outdoor clothing and comfortable shoes, suitable for walking on uneven, historic surfaces.
The starting point for the tour is accessed either via two flights of stone steps without a handrail or, alternatively, a single flight of narrower stones steps with a handrail. The tour itself involves a number of flights of stairs and different historic, sometimes, uneven and damp floor surfaces. Some stairs are without handrails. Tearoom
The Tearoom will be open from 11am to 4pm

All bookings are non-refundable and non-transferrable, please check the details carefully and ensure that you can commit to the date and time before you complete your booking as regrettably, we are unable to accommodate any changes once your booking is finalised.
If we have to cancel your booking for any reason, you will be offered a full refund or the opportunity to transfer your ticket to an alternative session (subject to availability).
